How does Ayuso suffer in heat? He grew up between Spain and the south. It’s 90 degrees Fahrenheit every freaking day in the summer.
Michele Scarponi used to struggle in the heat too, but Claus Michael Møller used to do really well in 35º+. It's not always intuitive.

I mean, if you didn't know he was born in Kenya and raised in South Africa, you'd also wonder what a pasty, spindly Briton like Froome was doing riding so well when it was really hot.
