Kristoff and the rest of the Uno-X team should really profit from the massive work of Abrahamsen and Cort in this Tour. But they don't seem to have it.
 
Thats a better explanation than them riding to drop Gall basically. Seriously, what are they doing. Now I agree with @Froome - they play in Vingegaards cards with wasting energy like that left and right.
The Visma plan is the same of last years. War of attrition, and if Pogacar and Remco spend energy pushing at front, well even better. They want everybody "dead" in the last week, starting on Pyrenees.

Tbf Kristoff peeked in May and begin of June, they kinda said that in advance. Tiller too if I remember correctly.

Best shape of his life and it's not close.
His positioning was already great as a neopro, when he raced AGR as a superdom for Colbrelli (who won the sprint behind Gasparotto and Cort). Always keeping Colbrelli near the front during the final and riding like a well seasoned domestique.
His TT-ing was always horrible, but his racing instincts have always been great.
