I don't think they care (maybe VDP).

for them its all about GC.
Absolutely. If it gets towards the end and someone there fancies the stage they'll chase, but I don't think Girmay is in the group anymore and I can't see any other sprinters. If Healy gets gapped up front then EF will go hard

A De Lie win would be a great victory for fans of great cycling tactics, he just needs to cling on over this climb and not lose too much so he can draft the cars off-camera and make it back, then it's flat.

I don't get the hate against Ineos here. They're riding for a podium spot and their biggest threat against that, Evenepoel, is attacking. Of course they ride to catch him. It's really not a part of their strategy to let Visma chase to use up Vingegaard's domestiques as it doesn't matter for them.
If it was an isolated example, people probably wouldn't make anything of it, but because they habitually neutralise moves and stifle racing in circumstances like this where GC moves are being made that they are not the team most relevant to chasing, regardless of whether they profit or if it is logical, people get sick of seeing racing breaking out and it always being Ineos that restore the status quo so are more critical of them for doing so.

The big question is whether they want to keep this racing up when the terrain flattens out after this.
