Rui Costa in the counter move and already shaking his head on the rear. Cycling is back.
In fairness to Rui, he does have Ben Healy in the group in front (and the second best placed on GC among that group too) so he has every right to not work in these circumstances, which you can't always say for him.
Ever since Vingegaard decided to not take turns, the race has been quite boring
Yup, serious 2013 stage 9 vibes, what looked like becoming an all-time stage is in danger of becoming a damp squib.

Last two sections are 2,2k and 3k. I could see MVDP attacking there to try to go solo.
Only about 15km until the 2nd to last section now though and a minute gap that seems to be holding... and the 2 groups are basically the same size.

Going to be interesting to see when/if they catch them.

Could be any of maybe 6-7 guys to win this now depending on where and if they catch them.

I think it would be dumb for both Evenepoel and Pogacar not to try something again maybe in the final 20k. Else all their efforts were for nothing and the real winners where their rivals who stayed behind their team's train. I think they could still take some time on a few rivals.
I do think they should attack, but have they really done that much more work than Vingegaard or Roglic?
