I actually like Finestre a lot. Name wise it's kinda melodic and nice and nothing suggests one of the toughest climbs. Stelvio is a nice name as well. Gavia sounds a bit mythical to me.
I like Galibier as well.

Tourmalet always sounds painful to me. You're having a nice relaxing tour of France and then you get hit on the head with a mallet.

big fan of Pra-Loup if that counts as a "mountain". Also La Rosiere, Mont du Chat, and Sierra Nevada.

Well thanks to the old style first week, every sprinter and his dog will be doing the Tour it seems. Could make for more chaotic finishes then usual.

I don't think 5 uphill finishes in the first 10 days makes it a very 'old style' or 'sprinter friendly' first week...

Yeah I have to agree with this, I think they've done a pretty good job of the first week considering the part of France they go through. Just disappointing there's no cobble stage.

Seems Purdhomme finally is telling one of his race directors to make a better route. Despite Gouvenou ruling out the Olympic circuit, it may be a reality
