Well thanks to the old style first week, every sprinter and his dog will be doing the Tour it seems. Could make for more chaotic finishes then usuual.
Yeah I have to agree with this, I think they've done a pretty good job of the first week considering the part of France they go through. Just disappointing there's no cobble stage.I don't think 5 uphill finishes in the first 10 days makes it a very 'old style' or 'sprinter friendly' first week...
A threshold too high for Chambéry, Troyes, Quimper, Bourges, Colmar, Ajaccio, Calais, Cannes, Pau, La Rochelle, Béziers, Cherbourg-en-Cotentin, Dunkirk, Poitiers, Avignon and Roubaix. Just to point out that it excludes a lot of towns. What would be the best hilly finishes inside a town?
I would say a minimum of 100 000 inhabitants required.

Really having a thread for spectator tips throughout the season might be quite useful... Except, of course, if the members don't really go to that many races.Hey everyone,
I'm looking for some guidance on planning a trip to catch the Tour de France in 2025. I'm posting here first to get as much feedback and visibility as possible—last time I did this for my trip to the Alpes, the advice I got was incredibly helpful. Just let me know if there's a better spot to post this, and I’ll gladly move the conversation there.
This time, I'm planning to see the Pyrenean stages on July 17th, 18th, and 19th. I’ll be driving up from Barcelona and want to find the best place to stay in the Pyrenees—somewhere that lets me stay close to the action and make the most of my time during those stages.
As always, I really appreciate any tips or suggestions you might have!
It's a great year for that, all 3 uphill finishes are very close to each other. I haven't visited the Tour outside of Denmark, but I'd recommend Bagnères-de-Luchon if they have any room.Hey everyone,

Oh God. Pogacar takes the final stage.Last stage in Montmartre
Welcome back, funny belgian people![]()
He missed the chance to write his name on Montmartre last summer.Oh God. Pogacar takes the final stage.
Le Parisien published it first (today). They usually have very good information. But first I want actual confirmation on Montmartre being included.
It would be a sprint, but not a procession, I don't think. If that means they are gonna do 5 laps or so around the Champs Elysees after the final climb then it's still gonna be a procession
