Vingegaard in the pre-stage interview confirming WvA will go for the sprint today, not necessarily because he thinks he can win it, but rather to ensure the Visma team car is amongst the first tomorrow.

Also says the entire team is on the front today because he hopes for echelons as they have the team for it, and because the stage becomes less dangerous if the peloton is broken up into smaller pieces.

Hahaha no way that's it, there's nobody chasing, surely there was some sort of pre-stage agreement.

You know what you meant when you wrote it. No need to act all innocent when called out.

And probably not the brightest idea to write stuff like that if you want to not get banned...
I'm sorry my supply of ill wishes doesn't match your demand for it. You will simply have to provide some of your own.

Ritter describing the Ineos-Total situation:
"It's a bit of a mess, and I personally think their jersey is too."

Sam Watsons looks good....but no doubt the next 3 weeks he'll keep being confused for a Total Energies rider :D

All the GC teams are waiting for the sections with wind, this early break might get a big gap, until the hammer drops.

Sep Vanmarcke's (first) prediction as Tour co-commentator was a bit off: "around 30 riders will be ready to fight to get into the breakaway.".

What a fight for the break! This is why we all love the Tour!

Hopefully the wind will give us something already today.

In fairness it does make sense for Ineos to brand TotalEnergies when in France, as they have a close collaboration in the energy marked and even jointly owned assets in France ;)

Nature break!? As my mother always said, refusing to stop at the service station, you should've gone to the toilet before we left, it's only been half an hour.

Quickly googles ‘was Slovenia behind the iron curtain’.

Hmm, interesting. That poster in another thread was right though, if the Yougos were still together they would have some cracking sports teams.

Anyway I do think this is a fair trade off for the sprint teams, they get a chance at the yellow jersey and in return their world championship final stage gets nerfed. I do think the opening sprint stage will become a dying breed though, they will say it’s for safety reasons but in reality it’s just more entertaining on one of the most watched days of the year.
The geography connoisseurs will also tell you that New Zealand is not a Western country but part of the Far East.
