Who cares if it was Pog's fault or not. There was no stage win at stake, and all gc riders were going to finish in the same time anyway. Of course you wait in that situation. It's all about circumstances.

It's not about circumstance, it's about who he is. Plenty other riders go down, not due to their own fault, and they lose time because nobody waits.

But riders today are more concenred with pleasing the tiktok crowd and pleasing King Joffrey himself than actually racing.

No. THJ was eager to follow a move and was reckless in doing so. Causing the crash.

Once again, it's clear that most of the peloton cares more about social and regular media saying they raced with valor, honor and other meaningless terms than they care about actually winning. It's reflected by people like Pedersen always working with riders they are destined to lose to in the classics and it's also reflected by reacting in this way to a racing incident involving Pogacar.

It was more Pogacar's than THJ's. Pogacar has to be aware of the race around him, he drifted to the left.

From the heli I'd say he kept his line.

Someone commented that Remco only gained 16 seconds in the time trial because of the crash. But this one, even though it's worse chrash, is nothing.

With those abrasions, he won't be resting well.

I don't know what would be the point of starting the pace after pogacar fell, it's not like they were racing for a stage win. Starting to ride hard after someone's fall does kinda have a different ring to it..

That said, they should have done it, controversy is fun. This race not so much thus far..

Having seen it from above again I think it was just a racing incident. THJ can't expect Pogacar to drift left while slowing, and Pogacar didn't have much time to react to THJ cutting ahead of him. Bad luck more than it being Pogacar's fault, in fairness.
