Some ppl being blasé about the threats, but it only takes 1 fool. No matter what, if you're the person being targeted by crazies, it will feel scary.
Maybe because you read about famous people receiving threats every day, and basically never about them being attacked in a way that it's a follow up to threats.

In fact, most stories where something real happens is home invasions which are entirely unrelated to the the surreal world of social media private messages.

People do *** to just vent. And there's always a small minority of people who see 99% of people be angry at something and then say "cool guess I'll do that", mostly to signal to their own small circle of degenerates.

I don't see that as blasé, I see it as a more holistic view of how it works, and because most times these things have basically no credibility to them I just find it boring that it always pops up and has people up in arms about it.

Sounds nice and all.

Now be the one that get about 10.000 threats, people mentioning your home adress, parents, children, family, friends, ...
And realise it only takes 1 fool.

Great recovery from Abrahamsen, in less than one month he went from a broken collarbone to a Tour stage win, fairytale story.

Van der Poel with another very good performance but just like on stage 9 luck was not on his side. De Lie really seems to be improving, another top5 result and he smoked everyone in that final sprint.

Sad that Pogačar crash but nice fairplay from the peloton, hopefully he can have a good night sleep and be fully prepared for tomorrow.

There's literally a video of Pog and THJ chatting after the finish.

All afternoon we've been justifying that Pogacar didn't make a mistake, that Pogacar has accepted an apology, that Pogacar is asking that four anonymous people not lynch Johannsenn... the victim of the accident is the one who needs to be vindicated.

What happened this afternoon is a bit surreal. Pogacar suffers an accident due to a poor maneuver by another rider, and there's nothing but criticism against him. One thing is not to be someone's favorite rider, but turn him into a villain the day he has been the victim of an accident... :(

Someone with your skill set remains a threat! I've contacted the race officials, and they've confirmed they're upgrading the security detail at the race finish with this guy.

Hinault would attack a protestor who was protesting clubbing baby seals to death...outside of a coffee shop

One of the most prominent exponents of this toxicity is an anonymous Twitter account spouting utter aggressive nonsense about rivaling riders and teams. Still that anonymous douchebag is getting his own thread on this forum with already hundreds of messages discussing its prophecies. If we're talking about looking in the mirror regarding online toxicity, this forum also has it's fair share to do.
I agree with your statement at the end but I also think just saying "Mou has a thread discussing his prophecies on this forum" is quite misleading. I think that thread has turned much more into a meta discussion about Mou and what he represents than about the content of his tweets. I think you can actually argue that the fact he is doing his nonsense on Twitter and no longer here is quite a positive sign for how the moderation of the forum works.

I liked the way Healy put it in his interview, playing down the "That was Ben" thing:

"It was a flat run-in, so we didn't expect any more time gaps," Healy said about the Pogačar incident. "The consensus amongst us all was to take it easy and let him come back."

"I guess it’s just respect amongst riders, like I said before, we were not expecting any time gaps from that point forward, and if anyone on the other side of that, I'd have appreciated the same in return. If whenever someone makes a silly mistake where there's not going to be crazy differences from that point forward, I think anyone would have appreciated the same."

Astana has said there are no longer any rules in the peloton, referring to the fact that several Astana riders were peeing when they attacked and the peloton split.
There were many riders peeing when the attack occurred. Astana has interpreted it as intentional, taking advantage of the moment.
