Woods descending a lot better than he used to, but these roads are pretty much Armiral's backyard.

It took about 33.5 minutes for the GC guys to climb Suolor (860 vertical meters). VAM of 1540 m/h (about 5.6-5.7 w/kg). Moderate pace but a lot of guys were dropped, which indicates that conditions (temperature, wind?) are hard.

I don't understand this at all. They know they weren't going to distance Pog on this climb, this is a long term strategy to put pressure on over this 3-day mountain block. Folks here are talking about Jorgenson staying close--that may not matter to them at all, as I wouldn't expect him to stay with Yates and Kuss when they're making it hard.
Think they were trying to drop all of Pog’s domestiques so he can’t get a lead-out later. Problem is they were going to isolate Vingegaard instead if they kept pushing.

I think the same, but If it happens then the Tour will be basically over.
If Pog is on a bad day (still way too early to tell), it's almost certainly because he crashed yesterday. This is Pog we are talking about. It won't be over, if this is what happens.

Danish TV2 broadcast saying on the descent from the cat. 2 there is melted asphalt because of the high heat.
I never understand this. It gets hot where I live too, well over the 31 degrees they keep talking about. This never happens. Do they use substandard road building materials over in France?
