Hard to imagine otherwise, but now there is still hope other top 10 contenders will as well, and he might not be the worst of those.
And maybe even more importantly, if this is just a bad day his losses to everyone other than Pogacar and Vingegaard (who he was never gonna beat anyway) will be of a size which, if in good shape, he can still make up during the rest of the Tour. When you drop 5 km into the first mountain of a TdF mountain stage you can also be unlucky and lose 10 minutes to Roglic and you are never gonna recover from this.

Grasping at straws, but it's good to see Remco right on Pog's wheel instead of hanging onto the back; he's where he needs to be to start this at least.

Usually it would blow apart in the middle steepest section but tbh given the nature of who is left I expect attacks earlier

The steep part starts at around 6.5K to go.

If Vingegaard or Pogacars want to try it will probably be after that - but then who knows with these two :oops:
