Too many teams will not want CRod to gain a lot of time, so the pace will be kept high all day. The top guys in the break will need great legs to make it if Visma also plan to smash it on Soulor.

Well Pogacar & Vingegaard don't need to worry about Carlos Rodriguez at all. They gonna distance him minutes on Ventoux, Loze & La Plagne if they want to.

Remco however....Other teams should take the gamble to force Quick Step into burning Paret-Peintre & Van Wilder. An isolated Evenepoel might be a chance for the likes of Gall to sink him.
