If UAE had any sense they would be sitting up a bit now as the presence of Johannessen will mean other teams will be forced to chase anyway. But I guess they just want to drill it to soften everyone up prior to the customary Pogacar final climb alien attack.

The break already looks doomed to failure due to the presence of THJ.

Stage 12 was, not today
The guy is obviously 100% dead, something is clearly wrong physically. He's a GT winner, podiumed last years Tour, arguably the best TTer in history, WC in road and TT, multiple classics winner, he has shown many times the resilience to bounce back after bad days, etc. You don't like him, fine, but it seems ridiculous to accuse the guy of being mentally weak when he has shown time and again the opposite is true.

I just said today was a mental crack. You are misjudging what I said.

I don’t know, Vingegaard would fairly certainly have 5 tours on the bounce at 28 of age. If not for a certain Slovenian. Now that’s a proper grievance
No one expected at 18 years of age a Tour win from Vineg when he worked in the fish factory

I think expectation can kill potential, we see it with French riders
in Ireland people were putting money on Eddie Dunbar to win the Tour when he was a junior

Anyway it not a grievance ... just a comment on how poignant it can be

Pogacar would fairly certainly have 5 Tours, + one incoming, at the age of 26, if not for a certain Dane.
Sure, but he will get 5+ in addition to two digit monuments, as well as everything else, WC included.

Point being that no matter the opposition that fellow will just win. Vingegaard is more like Zootemelk and Gimondi who both has the distinct misfortune to ride concurrently with a certain Belgian. Or even Ullrich and he who must not be named.
