God thats gotta be devastating. You're collapsed on the floor exhausted as Pogacar pops over to you, fresh as a daisy.
But Arensman won the stage. Partly because Pogacar didn't need to go deep. More devastating for Vingegaard to be totally destroyed in the sprint.

Honestly everyone who still pretends the Tour isn't over without a Pogi crash is straight up delusional. Jumbo knows it, Vingegarrd knows it. They just not saying it because of what it would do to the race. The attack of Jonas was also just for the camera ("look we are trying, what a great battle that is"). Pogacar could have easily but another 2 minutes on Jonas today if he wanted. They just don't want to ridicule Jumbo and Jonas also because of what it would do to the Tour. In the end he will have 6 minutes or so in Paris so that they can hype up the race next year as well.
Jonas should take a leaf from his mentor Roglic - tell it how it is 😂

(I mean it went so well!)

I think Pogacar isn’t feeling great, otherwise he would’ve put in a real attack at some point. Even a a Couiolle-style late surge if he was trying to ride conservative.
Yep, he cracked all right, only a few seconds gained

I think UAE wanted the stage but just with a short sprint of Pogi. Arensman was too strong and the UAE climbers a bit weaker.

Congrats to Arensman, well done. He was by far the strongest from the breakaway but started fading in the final few kilometers.
GC fight only at the end, disappointing. Visma doms completely failed. Jonas attacked late but he never troubled Pogacar, who I feel could've countered at any time. Lipo quite strong, he limited his losses while other GC guys (including Rogla) lost a lot of time in a short distance.

I think today the absence of Almeida was the decisive factor for Pogačar not winning the stage, UAE was simply not strong enough to bring back a super strong Arensman that got a very important win for Ineos.

Good to see Vingegaard still fighting but Pogačar was just too strong to be dropped. Gall with a great day, him outclimbing all GC riders apart from the first two was impressive. Lipowitz strengthening his position on the podium now that Remco is gone.

Very impressed with Healy's performance today and Roglič was once again a bit disappointing, just like in the Giro seems to be better in the time trial stages these days.

I think Pogi is little tired, must save for next week.
