If the GC guys want to wait for each other it's their business, that shouldn't affect anyone trying to get into the breakaway.

Pogacar is the only GC guy ahead of the peleton. Guys from the front are fighting to be a part of breakaway of the day. Peleton is chasing them OFC (due to Pog). Pogacar slowing down seems the only sensible solution (it is happening now).

You tell me. Jumbo Visma did the exact same thing with Rog back in the 2021 Tour with the Colbrelli crash. Everyone pulled Rog back to the finish except Van Aert who went for the stage win.

It's just the way the team works on a contractual level. It's nothing personal.
