The fact that we've seen it before doesn't mean it's ok. Politt screaming at riders attacking is straight up pathetic and shouldn't be seen as normal, neither should blocking the road be btw.
Alpecin blocking the road with 5 riders for a 3 man break was the peak of this stage. I'd much rather watch riders scream at each other than people blocking the road, I absolutely hate that and everypne seem to just normalize blocking it which I dont understand.

I thought the peloton was full of guys with the sniffles, but there we are again at 50km/h and 35 guys up the road.

Perfect scenario for UAE. I wouldn't be surprised to see Narvaz launching Pogacar with 13 km to go when Soler and Sivakov are 1 km in front to help him a little bit after
I think so too. The breakaway group is way too big and too many different interests. Not to mention that the average up to that point has been 50 kph. That group will never get enough gap, and most of them will bonk badly up the Ventoux. UAE got exactly what they wanted.

Norway has done better than Denmark in this Tour if you take them rider by rider. Even today, Asgreen and Valgren are not there for their captain.

As long as the break is inside 5 minutes at the bottom, it's not a problem for Pogacar/Vingegaard, and they may both prefer a gap that big, so that their teammates out front can stay out until the head wind hits halfway up the climb.

UAE might just decide to give up the stage. It will take a lot of manpower to keep this break in check. And Pogacar seems to care more about La Loze.

They need at the very least five minutes when they hit the Ventoux. We've seen before how quickly Pogacar, Vingegard and Lipowitz can atomize 3 to 4 minutes on a climb, especially against riders who have been going full pelt all day. The stage has been insanely fast so far.
