You think last year was better than this year?Other than Pogaçar last year maybe - I agree 😀

The other wins were a time trial and two small group sprints."A bit of panache attacking at the bottom of Hautacam"
LOL
That and the other 3 stages wins, I guess...
But it is different. Pogacar was facing the wind while on Hautacam or before, it was Visma domestiques. Can you not see the difference? He said Visma’s work. Not Jonas’s. Which would lead out Jonas to try something off of Pogi.
Yes, yes, that must be it. It couldn't possibly be that some cycling fans actually wanted to see some proper racing on the final mountain. And Vingegaard to walk the talk. The only people mad right now are Vingegaard haters who wanted to see him smashed in a sprint and feel deprived because there wasn't really a sprint and Pog lost whatever there was.
That's part of the plan to appear more humanPog looks like he's aged like 5 years during this last week.
But that’s the point—neither Pogacar or Vingegaard went for the stage win—they just focused on neutralizing each other. It annoys me so much, it's unbelievable. For once we see some perfectly reasonable tactical racing and it only just doesn't pay off. Somehow people are pissed at this..? Reality is they'd rather see Jonas trying an obviously doomed strategy and having it fail spectacularly. I'd rather see the riders actually going for the stage win, but I guess I'm weird like that.
I did. My understanding of the conversation:You really should read the post i was replying to. It was saying Pogi is killing cycling
“Proper racing” would’ve probably ended in an equally as boring result.Yes, yes, that must be it. It couldn't possibly be that some cycling fans actually wanted to see some proper racing on the final mountain. And Vingegaard to walk the talk.
Oh, I guess those don't count toward "panache", amirite? The other wins were a time trial and two small group sprints.
Definitely defending his 2nd place , if he attacked 200m earlier he would have risked losing 7 minutes to Lipowitz 😂The way Jonas raced was a form of admission that Tadej is levels above him, Jonas raced to defend his 2nd overall rather than risking it going for 1st overall. Imagine if Almeida didn't crash, the tactical possibilites we missed out on.
Do you even know what panache means, man?"A bit of panache attacking at the bottom of Hautacam"
LOL
That and the other 3 stages wins, I guess...
“Panache" refers to a bold and confident manner, often with a touch of flair and style
Literally not! Pretty much saying that Jonas would have had panache today, if he'd launched the sprint one second earlier and won..!Oh, I guess those don't count toward "panache", amirite?
If Pogacar wasn't as good as he is, MSR and P-R this year would have been a lot less interesting.I did. My understanding of the conversation:
The statement is:
"Pogacar is killing cycling."
Your response:
"But Pogacar brings a lot of panache, so that must mean that you dislike panache."
I point out:
"There's no panache left."
Of course we would be, but what does that have to do with anything? The way people on here talk about the cyclists is mental.....they have just ridden one of the hardest Tours ever and such hard stages with multiple climbs....in their place you would all be in the broomwagon keyboard warriers
behave !!!
Explain how a time trial is “panache”Oh, I guess those don't count toward "panache", amirite?
Do you even know what panache means, man?
Describes Chris Froome almost to a T.Alberto Contador was the most recent Tour winner who I thought rode with panache. Vincenzo Nibali also. But it’s a bit hard to win with panache when you are clearly stronger as Pogacar is.
Here is what Dr Google shows: “Panache" refers to a bold and confident manner, often with a touch of flair and style
All this Tour, we've been hearing how Pog is so arrogant and flamboyant, he wins everything, he's "ruining cycling."Do you even know what panache means, man?
Looks like you only watched todays stageDefinitely defending his 2nd place , if he attacked 200m earlier he would have risked losing 7 minutes to Lipowitz 😂
Oh my word. Those are two different things... I'm not even necessarily pro-panache..!All this Tour, we've been hearing how Pog is so arrogant and flamboyant, he wins everything, he's "ruining cycling."
Now you're like "Pog has no panache."
