Honestly feel like Groves is in the wrong team, I think he'd be a really decent one day rider but with Philipsen, Van der Poel, and even del Grosso now coming through, he never gets a chance.

Groves was lucky to be in the WT after his first two years. he spent this time crashing and it was only in the last 2 months of his second season that he showed some form. At this stage he had no WT offers and Jayco extended him for one more year. Then after Groves started his third year in form, Jayco dropped the ball in delaying recontracting him and Alpecin swooped with a good offer.

Jegat deserves his top-10. He went in breaks consistently and did his share of the work. I also like it that today, he let all the shouting from some of the riders in the breakaway slide right off him. Why wouldn't he have the right to be there?

Jayco of course very underwhelming. Only one (bruised) rider to pull the peloton - where was the rest?

The intimidation is just part og the game. Happens all the time: Politt against attackers from the peloton, Majka in the Giro etc, but youngish Yegat with zero wins to his name fought on like a gladiator slowly braking down the bruised up defense by Jaco.

Could be a very good candidate for the super comb. prize.

Of course he has the right to be in the break, but usually the break is doomed with a top 20 GC rider.

Actually one of the better stages of the race tbh, might even bump it up to a 3
Had potential.

Wellens and Jorgensen taking themselves out of the race and then Stewart and VdB doing the same didn't help but Romeo crashing out and taking Gregoire with him turned it into a non-event.
