What about a mountain top finish for the last stage ? Would be a lot of fun if the time gaps are still small
Maybe.. But making the race days shorter and races longer could help. I personally feel like Paris plays out what most modern race promoters are trying, some of the race out and about with special geographic features and some of the race on a circuit to concentrate the crowds and ease of public viewing, don't want someone to rip me a new one, but French public transport is decent, same with feeder roads to big cities like Paris so if you want to make a day trip out of watching final stage it's possible for many.. Mountain top stuff is super difficult to watch.. Especially for small kids or old people..

So you got what you wanted after all that complaining. There's no reason the parade portion would dilute the racing in this final 50 km
I don't think that's even slightly true... I'm not sure how I feel about this yet. I was mainly just joking about the AI image and Pog actually sending it up Montmartre.

Milan still in the second group but you'd imagine he'll be nowhere when the decisive attacks come on the final Montmartre

Rog was literally last wheel in the peloton before Montmartre. You think, Fine, ok, he doesn’t care. Now he’s leading the peloton pushing hard to make it back. So good at so many things, so bad at positioning.
