It's fine if you think the world evolves around your favorite rider (who made the front split) but I do agree with Brian Smith who said during the Eurosport broadcast that this wasn't better than a traditional sprint in terms of spectacle.

Do you not think so? I just find the usual final stage boring , especially when it’s basically just the same every year

Would be interesting to see how this was raced with no rain and time on the line. Im always in favour of giving the riders an opportunity to race, and Pogacar once again took it!

I would agree if it weren't for the rest of the Tour. Maybe a short stage and a short climb aided him. I will say that it is likely good for his head...until reality strikes again next Spring, and he can't match either Mathieu or Tadej.

What do you mean he didn't step up? He blew up the field to create the initial split, led the second hill, and with just the tiniest bit more gas in the tank would have given Wout everything he could have handled had it come down to a sprint. Pog created massive excitement, a big show today. Come on.

Lipowitz lost 5 minutes, but gained 9 seconds. It's similar to Vingegaard's famous Ventoux attack, so now Lipowitz is sure to win the Tour next year with help from Roglič!
