Philipsen was in such great condition too, looked up for the fight on yesterdays difficult finish
Was another rider. You can recognize Mathieu in some yellow outfit. He did already slap and shout at him (as seen in the replay now)
That was a different Alpecin rider. He did already slap and shout at him (as seen in the replay now)
Not MvdP??? Wasn't it Rickaert? He did already slap and shout at him (as seen in the replay now)
Yeah, but they can‘t transfer those points to Coquard after the fact.To think that useless Cofidis had a better chance of winning the intermediate sprint by going into a break on a flat stage instead of betting all on the 15th or so best sprinter in this field
He forgot he was riding in a professional bike race and didn't hold his line.Coquard should probably just be punished for that. No idea what he was doing and he's robbed the Tour of a better sprinter than he is
And now you're making me watch all those seasons back again. Sorry for Jasper of courseMVDP paying Coquard a visit after the stage...

But look who's coming up behind Coquard. It does kind of look like he steers right and goes for a gap that doesn’t exist, but things always look more intentional in slow-motion than they actually are.
Agreed. At 1st it just seemed like another typical race incident, but watching the reply he was riding like he was drunk.Coquard should probably just be punished for that. No idea what he was doing and he's robbed the Tour of a better sprinter than he is
Haha, indeed, what a *** up from me - just saw tall Alpecin guy and still somewhere else with my head...That was Rickaert...
MVDP is quite easy to recognise... he's the guy wearing yellow.
I'm not sure yellow card is too little. 2 yellow cards and you're outThe problem is also that there isn't a good way to sanction Coquard by the rules. Kicking him out of the race entirely is punishing for impact rather than offense, but a yellow card is too little and he didn't score any points at the intermediate sprint he can be stripped of either.
Yes, yes. Indeed. Stupid by me.That was a different Alpecin rider.
MVDP is the one wearing yellow.
and he didn't score any points at the intermediate sprint he can be stripped of either.
His bike bucked and went completely sideways after contact with the Intermarche rider. It’s a miracle he didn’t crash himself to be honest. Unclipping was definitely a result of the forces involved and/or an instinctual reaction to try and stop from crashing. You can blame him for the initial contact with the Intermarche rider but once that happened the rest isn’t really in his control.Aside from veering into the rider on his right (mistake #1), why did Coquard take both feet off his pedals in the middle of a sprint?! I'm sure it was a reaction to keep his balance after he bumped into the other rider, but a pro just can't do that with riders sprinting all around him.
Naw man, I can't stand the guy, but nobody deserves that. You shold delete this commennt.Couldnt have happened to a nicer guy![]()
