Surprised by Skjelmose as well. Roglic clearly just doesn't have it. Turns out a tough Giro with crashes, illness, and abandon after doing 15 or 16 stages isn't the best prep for the Tour against some of the best riders in the history of the sport.

I was really surprised, he looked like he really had it today. Not a bad ride at all, mind you, but he looked like a boss there for a bit. Guess it's easier to do if Pog's strategy was following...

For sure a good day for him and the last cluster was Remco jumping on the UAE wheel, nobody else and then he found himself leading out Pogacar.. He rode decent, ** didn't crash!!**

I certainly hope Lidl now - finally - drops the notion of Skjelly doing GC this year (with no team for it), so he can drop time and go hunt stages and polka dots in the mountains.

He actually flew up the Mur. I figured he was gonna lose 2 minutes after he was involved in the crash. He only lost 51 seconds. He must have really ridden his ass off.
