Barely seen Merlier all day.

That's how it's done.
Because of the all white uniform his last @800 meters are that much more impressive!! The guy just bumps and drifts into the right spot before he lights the fuse!!
As long as Trek didn't win I feel OK!!
I hope Arkea, Uno-X and most the of Visma are disqualified from the rest of the Tour!! Arkea should feel ashamed!! Hate everyone, everything about the team until it's gone!! Hope bikes gets stolen, hope hotel loses the reservation for the team!! Uno-X should have brought Kristoff!! I hope TDF tell them to go home today!! Soudal did it!!
I don't know if Quinn Simmons lied on his resume!!? He is not a climber!! He was all overflowing with early energy.. Instead of going for stage try, Trek has toasted him for nothing!! Girmay went from next big thing, to going unmentioned!! Vingegaard has extra energy? What are they doing!? It's confirmed after today, the water bottle snafu was done intentionally, probably at the direction of team director!!

Again, we have people not believing Visma when they say they are going to make every day hard, because that's what they see as their best shot at winning the Tour. You may not like it, and today it would have resulted in Mathieu winning, but would the win have been that satisfying if they hadn't chased? Because it would have been far less dramatic. I wanted Mathieu to win, BECAUSE there was a real chase. and I don't ever want Mathieu to win.

NOOOOOO!!! We watch Real Housewives for the fights, the same as we watch these forums!!

* I don't actually watch Real Housewives, but I've seen the promos, and they all seem to show people yelling and pointing fingers and stuff, so I assume that the entire draw is watching for the catiness.
Heck yes! This is like "Handbags at 10 paces"; it's an essential part of the experience!

That was a very chaotic moment when they caught Mathieu; was surprised there wasn't a massive crash tbh.

If by hard you mean riding, talking ,acting like idiots!!
Visma can use Van Aert as easy ,obvious scapegoat for collective stupidity!! All they have to say is we put Jorgenson, Vingegaard on the front because we were all in for a Wonder Wout sprint after he showed he hadn't forgotten how, 2nd place. And why not just pin the feed zone fiasco on Wout!!? Van Aert wanted a specific bottle so we sent Jorgenson on a take no prisoners mission to retrieve it!! Pogacar be damned!!
Anyone else on Paris podium other than Visma clowns!!

De Lie 3rd in a world class bunch sprint????
The team must have worked out his problems (a bit late though), but chapeau Merlier for the win. 50km/h for 3 and a half hours in 30C heat, not bad after riding 8 stages. MvdP must have got some tips on recovery too.
How the manic chase will effect Monday's tough stage will be interesting to see.
Almeida did the right thing and went home to recover.

Almeida did the right thing and went home to recover.

tbh it sounds like he shouldnt even have started today, with a broken rib, its not like its going to heal itself on the rest day, or just needs a bit of extra physio and an ice bath, thats you cant crash again because youll puncture a lung type stuff, and is really dangerous for the riders health.

Im all for not quitting and keep going as long as you can, but not when it puts a riders health in potential danger like that.

Same reason you should maybe put me on the ignore list.

Yet here we are.
I unsubscribed from Visma fan club watching the team from now on is the equivalent of putting kittens in a bucket and... You can guess the rest.... I am making anti Kuss and Jorgenson banners to hang in front of my house.. Already took down all the Wout posters from all over the house.. I will never wear my Vingegaard pajamas or use my Jonas sippy cup to drink from.. Joy is gone!!

So it was EF's Valgren? to ride MVdP down at the very end?
Why?
Why?
Why?
I know it didn't make a difference, but why shoot a load like that at the end?

(this is meant VERY tongue in cheek, I don't think you're on drugs, but you might consider changing your name to Unhinged)

I should listen... I am snorting lines of Lavazza espresso dust and looking for Scarface on streaming service!!
I am angry to my core that teams that have nothing, are nothing chased down van der Poel just because.. I am truly disgusted ..if bad thoughts have power Visma will eat gone off mayonnaise at every meal with shrimp cocktail that was shipped from Grenoble that's been sitting on a loading dock for a week in the sun..and all porta poddys are locked or occupied when they need a bathroom!!
I hope Jorgenson is stopped at the airport when he tries to return.. Sent to Central America for paperwork review!!

I know you're joking, but I'm too close to what is happening here, and there is nothing funny about it. It's horrific.

I am getting an Unhinged neck tattoo later today.. and yes I use a vacuum for lawn care but don't wear a bathrobe!!
If karma exists Visma will lose everything by one second in every category!! My dream is for Dutch mini flags to clog every Visma derailleur and brake disc in Paris with @10 k to go and neutral service vehicles all blow transmission and tires..
And when Lidl Trek director joked about difficulty finding friends to work up front.. Makes me sick people helped..
The positive part was Pogacar( UAE!!) Spent part of his interview praising van der Poel..

There are 3 people that I currently dislike in Rabobank.
Niermann - The professor
Plugge - El Mafioso
Jorgenson - The arrogant tool
All the other guys are good lads.

I had the same thought. He couldn't have believed that he would win the stage, and he wasn't doing a leadout.
Archie Ryan rode great today.. And EF's Rui Costa won field sprint for final Tour of Austria stage..Costa dynamic failed long bold breakaway yesterday.. So EF has good people in the organization.. Esteban Chaves rode and acting like a gentleman all week!!
