I'll take anything other than one of the SDW riders going off the front again as everyone just watches her while SDW bullies and disrupts the chase and gets their hundredth 1-2 of the year.
if it turns into a battle of whose the most likely to solo away on the uphill bits, its going to be AvV, then Demi, with Kasia and Cecilie in that doomed chasing pack maybe with ELB for company battling for the last podium spot.

Probably. I have no idea.

I think it may have something to do with going back to the team car and not making their way back into the peloton 'safely'

So tough on Van de Velde today, so wanted her to hang-on. I am still constantly
amazed at how passive the racing can be so late in the races, and I say that as someone who has been following the Women's racing for a few years now. I love Womens Cyclo-Cross(even when they are on the road), but the Road racing leaves me scratching my head a lot.

Thats the thing with the ladies, it either all goes mental or its a recreation of a 2000's tour stage. I think the rise in the quality of racing has been so great, that when we do get 'normal' stages they seem boring in comparison.

Almost 6 minute gap for the group of the day and 130 km to go. Will be intersting if sooner or later some teams try to manage that gap.

Yes it's s big group too, but can't see any CanyonSram representation in it

When the coverage finally comes on, I hope they don't show us 30 minutes of pre race highlights and analysis. It's a waist of time watching the riders walk around their buses earlier while the race is happening live. It's almost like they want to create the appearance of start to finish coverage.

Seems like no one is willing to work yet and someone from the break is likely to win the stage. From what we've seen previously, the peloton won't be able to cooperate well enough to close down a 9 minute gap, unless the cooperation in the break is even worse.

Thank god the teams who aren't SD Worx have finally read the internet comments on what they should do to beat SD Worx.

I might end up being wrong but I think the race dynamic will change as we're now at the bottom of the main uphill sections

Over 10 mins now. I think the winner and the new leader will come from this group. Either Cordon-Ragot or Kastelijn will be the new leader.

So, with a 10-minute gap, is it poker in the peloton? ... "You guys pull." "No, you guys pull."

I don't understand why it so difficult in the women peloton that from, let's say five teams, one rider each is doing the chase, like in the men's peloton.

Am I seeing correctly that fdj missed the break? Ouch, and double ouch if the break makes it as it is a good finish for CUL and perhaps Cavalli.

They had Grace Brown in a smaller 4 rider chase group who tried to bridge the gap early on but weren't successful, Canyon Sram similarly impacted.

The only problem is there is an SD Worx rider in the break - And of course the SD Worx will not help in the break - Team Director's will be unhappy that they missed the break.

Firsttly women don't have the confidence in their power to bring back a break with a large advantage and secondly the other teams will not and should not help SD worx under any circumstances.

Recently I've heard Banks, Deignan and Hosking state that teams should not help SD Worx under any circumstances - Surely team directors have come to this conclusion.

I will never, ever understand women's cycling. I find myself more irritated than anything watching it.
