According to Emma Norsgaard, Movisar wanted her to wait for Meijering, but she decided to ignore that message.

Thanks!
It might be a long wait, they took hours after stage 1 to comment on it, this one will take a while to unpick positivelyWaiting patiently for the nonsense excuses from the team and team mates...
Homosocial differences laid bare.Dygert openly admitting to smashing it on the front on purpose, none of this race was on nonsense!
DNFAny word on Georgi?
Has had to abandon the raceAny word on Georgi?
I mean, you check in the peloton if you see your race leader, don't you? It's not like she's wearing any camouflaged stuff, it's bright effing yellow from skirt to top. This was way beyond amateuristic, it definitely looked like some old accounts were settled here by the DS.I think the problem was after the crash teams were unable to make quick decisions on whether to wait for your GC leaders or contest the final. I saw two or three riders on the radio pull out of the front group which was ' neither her nor there.'
Demi was on her feet after 10 seconds. Took over another minute to get on her bike. Not worth sacrificing the win to help a possibly injured rider save a few seconds.
A possibly injured rider? You realize how bananas this sounds. You think Wiebes did a detailed medical examination before deciding to not do jack *** and sprint for 8th? It's an unspoken rule in cycling, you wait for your team leader.Demi was on her feet after 10 seconds. Took over another minute to get on her bike. No-one from SD Worx heard the crash!
The biggest betrayal of Vollering occurred at the 2023 Tour De Suisse. Comfortably ahead in GC, they finish the final climb and Vollering is ensconced in the small GC group with a mainly descent last 20kms. Reusser comes back on the descent and instead of pacing the group to protect Vollering's GC, but no, she attacks the group, so the GC group sit up because they have nothing to gain, and Reusser ends up winning the GC>
Exactly. Not worth giving up a stage win & the green jersey to save Demi a few seconds when she'll probably win by several minutes anyway.A possibly injured rider? We're talking about the best rider in the world who, even if she arrives at 90 percent on Sunday's stage, still has a fair chance of winning this Tour de France.
How on earth would Wiebes sprinting for 8th 'give up a stage win and a green jersey?' Keeping Vas in shooting range of a stage win I can understand, but Wiebes staying in a peloton where she haid no added value is nuts.Exactly. Last year in the Vuelta Vollering lost 1min4sec in the crosswinds, partly due to her team's incompetence and failing to form a proper chase behind. She then lost the race overall by 9 seconds. They could have easily found those seconds had her team worked hard to limit her losses. I suspect they will have similar regrets again this yearDemi was on her feet after 10 seconds. Took over another minute to get on her bike. Not worth sacrificing the win to help a possibly injured rider save a few seconds.
The reality is that Vollering was not the only leader who got none or limited support in the final. Movistar or Jayco did not wait for their GC riders, however even if they did wait maybe they save 15 or 20 seconds.
