Greatest stage in women's cycling history, I think.
In recent times, yes, probably just topping La Course with the Annemiek/Anna VDB chasedown, and the Madonna della Guardia Giro stage from a few years ago when ELB and Kasia were going from the first climb of the day in a four climb mountain stage, and first and second on GC attacked on the penultimate climb to join her.

I don't know if that Giro stage might have been slightly better to watch live, but we never got the chance. In terms of being able to watch hours of coverage and keep us excited and glued to our screens throughout, this one has the nod, at least for the moment while emotions are riding high.

What was the gap to Kasia's group at the base of the Alpe? Did they do the climb in the same time?

I wasn't psychologically prepared for Kasia actually winning La Fleche. I can't cope with this.
