Cille lets go, leaves Kasia isolated. Le Court is doing a decent amount of damage here and should return to virtual maillot jaune shortly, as Vollering does still have Muzic up the road.

Van der Breggen drops as Elise Chabbey comes back for FDJ and takes up the tempo, which gives a bit of a Schadenfreude tip.

I just wonder if Demi might have said to Chabbey to take the reins to get rid of Anna, which is sound tactics (even though it takes Muzic out as a card to play with AG) in terms of removing a rival even before we get to the Schadenfreude it must engender for Demi.

PFP at the back of the group isn't ideal, but she looks reasonably comfortabl and Demi is surprisingly far back in that group too, unless she's decided specifically to mark Gigante. After all, Chabbey wouldn't be pacing if she was dropping Demi, and they are now holding the gap to the break which keeps Muzic in play, especially bearing in mind she doesn't need to take any pacing with GC teammates behind.

In all honesty, Demi doesn't look great here. Don't know if she's bluffing since, again, she wouldn't have had Chabbey pump the pace and drop a bunch of riders if she was going to drop herself.

Le Court lets go and here goes Gigante, with Rooijakkers in tow. Labous dropping as well.

Demi slow to react but she is coming across the gap, but she's also been dropped by PFP and Niewiadoma who are trying to hook up with the front, PFP first, then Kasia, and then the group following Demi. PFP's made it and Rooijakkers is suffering a bit to stay with them.

Edit: doesn't look like Demi is bridging this actually. Kasia's holding them at a fixed distance but not catching. Rooijakkers is getting tailed off. The attack also takes the Muzic card away from FDJ so this is a long and lonely road for Demi to manage and hope that the women up front have gone too hard too soon.
