Soudal and Visma actually with really good tactics, all these pace setters from the brake really do make a difference here with Kasia and Vollering basically in their own.
What looked like a really good idea at the start of the climb for FDJ now puts them in a horrible position: what do they do with Évita now that it's clear Vollering is not on it, but that Évita is no longer relevant to the maillot jaune - yet is still on a virtual podium?

The Vollering group looks to be holding to Niewiadoma, but they're still almost a minute behind PFP and Gigante. At the same time, this is a long climb, still 9km to go.

Dani keeps asking why Muzic isn't being dropped back and wondering what they can possibly gain from it, but it's pretty damned obvious. It's just both outcomes are not really working out for FDJ because they don't have the legs.

Bego lets go and PFP takes up the pace. Surprised she isn't making Gigante pace, but Gigante looks less comfortable than her and needs about a minute... and Gigante gets dropped and this could be over.

Yeah looks like this Tour is done. Kasia also cooked herself earlier trying to follow.
Well done by Gigante but she was already quite a bit back to PFP before the stage so I guess the latter will take yellow with 2+ minutes on everyone going into tomorrow.

Vollering has Muzic but she doesn‘t seem to know what‘s going on.
Muzic holding that group would have been on GC podium. She's only +1'35 before today and with the gap they had over Kasia, she'd have preserved a podium. Now that she's been dropped, that ceases to be a factor and helping Demi becomes the only option. Before that, they had two cards to play for the podium (when they'd intended them to be for the victory), but realistically neither of them have the legs and they'll end 4th and 5th at best, possibly worse depending on Rooijakkers and others.
