This is a tough circuit which will create GC gaps and could provide a surprise stage winner.

AG Insurance controlling for Le Court. They want yellow today. They have to drop Vos before the final climb.

It really beggars belief - Reusser, Kool, and Kopecky all not 100% before the start......Should be at home recovering.

They obviously shouldn't be gambling with their long term health, but in some cases it can still be worth the risk if they manage to recover during the race. That is of course more likely to happen over three weeks rather than one.

That said, when you're dealing with riders that have had health issues in the past, both the riders and their teams should probably be extra cautious.

So, Reusser out yesterday.
Kopecky is out of form.
Borghini dropping like a stone.
This race will be worse than the Men's edition.
Give me a break...

So who takes/keeps yellow? Same time. Vos with a stage win or Le Court with placings? Unless Vos her jump was in front of Lippert.

First victory of the season for Liv Alula Jayco and well deserved at that. You could see how much it meant with the whole team crying at the finish line. Anyway, Liv ride well as a team and its just a matter of getting a gun rider to finish off races. Finally, Mavi will be at a different team in 2026.

It's great that she's continuing, she didn't turn pro until she was already 31 so the fact she'll be 42 next season and is still going strong and that, if anything, this is probably her biggest career win - and on terrain not exactly considered her strongest suit - makes for a feel good story for sure.
