We sometimes see that someone in an expected doomed break actually has way more left that the peloton thinks, so 25 seconds can both be way too little or too much at this point. It's also not impossible for anyone to get a gap if they attack form the peloton when the junction is made. Still, I'm betting on Wiebes right now.

I was thinking about the person who said womens cycling is a whole different sport because of this stuff. But it seems like the same dumb to me, as you also note.
