Ah thanks, fair enough.
I doubt that's relevant for today's stage. Cavendish won't be dropped by the peloton if the break goes all the way (pace will be slow) so then there's no way he'd need a team car for himself.

people love to hide behind keyboards and moan, 21 mountain stages is not how cycling works, and even then this tour would have been over by now, wiggans and froome just too strong..

The peloton doesn't let them go it seems... The gap is about 30 seconds now.

It's also clear now that a break's going to make it, since Sky, Lotto and Greenedge have sent their men up the road

EDIT: Aaaaaaand it's gone.
Gap's up to 2 min.

Liquigas is the only team I can imagine would chase this down. But they had a very hard day yesterday, so I doubt they will bother. Either way it will be hard for the 7 of them to chase down 16 guys.

Albasini in the break again.......easily rider of the tour as far as Greenedge is concerned.

Goss has flattered to deceive whilst Gerrans has been completely anonymous.

That's a really strong break. EBH, Vino, Albasini, Nuyens, Vanendert and Paolini my favourites for the win. Hard to call!
EBH will definitely get a tough time. As he's the best sprinter by far, they'll attack him one by one. If they have any tactical sense, that is.

EBH: "I'm not allowed by the team to join the breakaway, no. I will help Cavendish if it's a sprint".

I guess that ends the speculation that Sky might give him a free role for once. Quite fascinating that Sky has gone through the entire TDF without ever having a single guy in a breakaway.

So where did this wqute come from?

With EBH in the break and all those condemnation posts - this is the usual case of a few crying foul before events are allowd to develop.

Nuyens will probably win the sprint from a group of 3(with Vino and Costa), with Kroon controlling the chase for him. EBH ends in fourth place after a late surge(+ 2''). Paolini 5th(+ 10''), just in front of Albasini. The others follows in a randomly picked order.

The Danes will then still claim Mørkøv's achievements were much greater then Nuyens, ofc. :D

BMC is leading the chase, maybe AG2r and Saur Sojasun will join them, all three lack a stage victory so far. I don't really see who can accomplish this mission, even if they manage to bring away the break, but we will see...

If Nuyens wins the stage (*knocks on wood and crosses what can be crossed*) He'll simply be an honorary Dane! :D

heheh!!! Funny isn't it! Folks on here willing to jump when they hear these little rumours/unfounded statements.

EBH in the break.
And to make it even funnier - Le Tour - Pinot/Pineaut Martin/Martin! One more please!

The exact quote translated is: "The plan is to help Cavendish in a sprint. To join a breakaway has not been a subject of discussion. I haven't asked, either. That would just be stupid. I don't want to sound stupider than I am."

I assume Sky ordered him to go after 60 km were covered and it was evident that Lotto and GreenEdge wanted guys in the breakaway. At the moment it looks like BMC will ruin the fun anyway.

Seems there will be a lot less than 100kms to go, by the time we finally get live pictures.
Should please those so bored, they can't remember to stop watching.
