Parrulo said:one out of 3 bunch sprints. farrar has a much worse record against cav and petachi for that matter

Jamsque said:Cav on ITV now. Credits his team for a great lead-out as always. Says Roman Feillu causes havok, claims Feillu took him out on the last corner. Says HTC were on the front too early so he fell back a bit and tried to slot in on Garmin's wheel. He went in to the corner with Rojas on one side and Feillu on the other, Feillu caught his rear wheel and he nearly went down.
He says he knows people will write him off but he knows he has great form and will come back.
NOT A HAPPY CAVENDISH.
Thoughtforfood said:That I will give you, but as for his speed, he just doesn't have that pop he once had, anyone who says differently is in denial. But maybe "washed up" was a bit hyperbolic...
Thoughtforfood said:I don't know if you noticed, but he reduced that gap today...
We'll see how many he gets during the Tour with an in form Cav and Farrar not leaving. You guys can think he still has it, but he is the third fastest here at best, and that is even questionable.

Peccio89 said:yes he is not the old style Petacchi anymore, but if you let Cav pick the opponent at his wheel, i bet Petacchi is still the one that cav fears most( cause from that position in a gt sprint he was able to beat cav 3 times in the last 3 years, while Farrar only once); and that's why i think that he is still world number 2 sprinter.
Jamsque said:You are right about that first point. A few year back I remember Tom Boonen saying that the only time he was ever unsure going in to a sprint was when Petacchi was on his wheel. I'm not sure he can match the likes of Farrar and Galimzyanov for raw speed but he is absolutely one of the smartest sprinters in the pack.
Sylvester said:Rojas might score points tomorrow on the Mur, too. The guy's a beast. He has done top 15 in Tirreno, Paris-Nice, Tour de Suisse... which means he climbs a lot better than Hushovd, who is by no means a bad climber, but just can't do such things. I'd love to see Rojas wear the green jersey in Paris. He'll fight for every point for sure.

HTC-Highroad's Rolf Aldag confirmed the news to Cyclingnews. “The chief commissar confirmed the news and talked to Allan Peiper. He said that Thor and Cav were disqualified. Thor lost his line but Cav can’t use his head."
Not sure that's something I'd like to have to say about a team member.
