Anthony Charteau says hello to his family.

That was a nice moment. Like the old days. Maybe some of the boys will stop for a quick bite at a cafe later. :D

Guess Farrar is focused on the stage win and doesn't want to waste energy for the final sprint.
Petacchi gave up at around -500 meter, i guess he thought it was better not to take any risk for an intermadiate sprint.

yeah, Cav took his wheel, and after that, he just sat up.

Canc's champion's jersey is hideous.

And every time I see it I think of his exceptional 2010 jersey. Boonen's Belgian jersey was head and shoulders above Gilbert's, too.

I blame Andy. ;)

Paul Sherwen said it a couple of minutes ago when Spartacus was at the team car. Leopard (hence the pronunciation of the LAY-OH-PARD) was actually a German tank.

I wouldn't trust those guys. I don't remember any official word on the name coming from the tank, and I vaguely remember reading something about "Leopard Trek" being a play on... something... possibly related somehow to the Himalayas?

if there is a crosswind the BMC boys will make sure that anyone caught up in the 2nd group will lose time

Unfortunately it's not a windy day.

I suspect that bridge just generates wind.

There's a pic of it back on the first page of the thread--anyone in doubt of its viability as a Cat 4 should pop over for a look. I'd repost it here, but I wet myself when I saw it the first time, and don't want to change again. Terrifying rollercoaster of windy death.
