I'm a bit lost on who's where and half the time I'm still working out who people are when the camera shot changes.

But OMG this stage is so much more exciting than most TdF stages. Worth staying up for, for a change...

Bruyneel is a complete ***, from the Eurosport feed:

<<
"55km - Not everyone is convinced that the cobbles are necessary. "I'd rather have had a team time trial than cobbles," said Lance Armstrong's team director Johan Bruyneel. "It's risky and there's a chance you can lose a Tour contender in the first week. Yet one thing is for sure, Lance normally tackles the cobbles better than Contador."
>>

Not sure why you find that objectionable. Of course they'd prefer a TTT, and I seem to recall most posters here saying the same thing about Armstrong's and Contador's relative cobble skills.

Anyway, back to the racing... (or at least as much as I can get from this board, as I have no access at work this year  )

Great chance for Andy to gain time on the GC and Riis is letting Canc go for a stagewin?! Wouldn't happen if I was DS.
