i see the saxo bank rider in the peleton is wearing a yellow kit as opposed to the white and black they always had. When did they change their kit? Could it be something to do with black being worse in heat.

:p

It represents the rider who in a eating contest last week ate the most bananas in 3 minutes.

Have you also seen that someone has vomited all over the Radioshack team bikes?

Oh... wait... no, that's their usual colour.

Wow, did Paul Sherwen just throw you haters a softball or what??? I can't BELIEVE none of you jumped all over the "minerals" comment?

Jeez, y'all are slow today

I heard it and lol'd.

Sporza have reported that Contador visited the Shack bus today to give each rider who helped with the 2009 win a watch. Armstrong wasn't there apparently.

Interesting timing (no pun intended).

Nobody jumped on the Alberto-goes-to-the-Radioshack-bus thing either. We must be not paying attention due to boredom.

Also in this stage - we finally got to see one of Allen Lim's famous ice pack pantyhose thingys too.

Who says flat stages are dull? :p

Edit - Roland caught the bus thing.

Phil-n-Paul said AC also gave watches to LA and JB. I bet LA has already checked his for listening devices. :D And Johan's waiting til after the stage to sell his on Ebay.

Remember last year's Tour when LA provided the whole team with Livestrong Nikes for the team award presentation. Whole team except Alberto.

Yeah, it's been clarified that the team got them last year except for LA and JB.

Meh, they'll just flog them anyway. Keep an eye out on ebay.

Anyone else see that Schleck working his way back through the cars and he shook hands with the Hog and good old Paul said "well Andy is looking for a new team next year", he also said that Jani attacked Contador on the slopes of Alpe d'huez in the Dauphine.

Ah, so he did leave off those who didn't help him win. AC must be human after all. :p

More like Andy has a team. Maybe Paul thinks Johan is looking to go work for Andy's team??

I am SHOCKED, MV. You are always the exuberant one! I know you secretly set your alarm for 3 hours before Versus coverage comes on to watch the DVR of the stage from the day before. Especially on flat sprinter's stages.

To quell the boredom, I was just reading my copy of VeloNews' 2010 Tour de France guide, where each stage description includes a little quote from a rider regarding the stage with some predictions/context...

Stage 5 (today's) quote came from Cavendish:

"By now we should have quite a firm grip on the green jersey, and everyone will be looking to us to control, as they always do. There's going to be some tired guys on my team already, but we've got guys who can ride all day, and they're super dedicated. I have every confidence we'll be able to bring back any break, and hopefully get a sprint. It should be a straightforward bunch sprint, and I hope to secure more points for the green jersey."
