They shoulda had Dean go first, even though that's not the normal order. Your final leadout guy needs to be able to sprint out of the saddle!

Dean definitely sprinted out of the saddle yesterday.

Ciolek And Hagen were fast today but Cav got them so perhaps his legs are looking better.

Maybe Ciolek to win tomorrow with Cav looking to win another in Paris, I get the the feeling he wont contest tomorrow's sprint but you never know..

Of course Cav will contest the sprint tomorrow? With over half the team there just for him, and finally getting a win today, there is no way he won't race tomorrow.

Better lead out is what cav had.

No silly antics from Cav today, just pure joy (and some relief probably). Good to see.

Tyler Farrar swerved quite a bit though, almost took out Hushovd.

Why shouldn't he contest the sprint? Today could have been a key moment for Cav. It's all about confidence, I think we will see the nearly the old Cavendish in the next weeks.
Nevertheless, he did a big mistake, by stopping to sprint yesterday. You shouldn't leave Greipel out of the team, because of the green jersey, when something like yesterday happens.

It can't be much fun climbing into a team coach after your team has worked its collective b*ll*cks off to deliver you to the front and you've screwed it up!

Nice leadout by Renshaw, You saw Cavs reaction at the end - the man was in tears. Will he be up for another sprint tomorrow? i doubt it but maybe I'm wrong.

Long way to go and he is obviously feeling it at the moment but there are 3 stages in the final week to look at for him if his team can avoid breakaways staying away.

I was in tears but for a different reason.

There is no pressure. There is no mainstream coverage of the Tour. Even Sky aren't talking about it.

I thought the Tour is on air every day in Britain?

You (ACF)predicted Pettaci a couple of times so you are doing well. I thought Hagen And Ciolek were bankers to get up there and contest the win so I'm happy with that.

I'm trying trying to find out what Roelandts did for my fantasy team... probably zilch.

It is. ITV4 has it on freeview (Phil&Paul coverage) and highlights in the evening (not that there will be many today), and Eurosport has it on satellite too.

Words cannot express how little I care about the end of today's stage. Once Gutiérrez was caught, it was apathy all the way.

Really? Live coverage on ITV4 and Eurosport. Sky News are also covering the tour. Probably the biggest write up of the TDF ever in the papers. Not really sur where you're coming from there to be honest.

Admitedly, it isn't the coverage you get in France, Belgium etc but it's much higher profile this year than ever before (probably due to Cav and Wiggo last year, 8 Brits riding and the influence of Team Sky).

ITV4 and Eurosport are not mainstream. Geraint Thomas getting into white was hardly mentioned.

My personal read on the situation is that, psychologically speaking, AC owns Lance at this point.

Yes, he isn't quite the country bumpkin he was made out to be last year. He knows exactly what he's doing on and off the bike. Lance won't be within 8 minutes of him when it's all said and done.

Good to see Cav get a win actually, I just hope he won't go back to unbeatable mode!

Impressive by EBH to get 3. despite being quite far back with a kilometer to go, Geraint Thomas definitely did a good job to bring him back in position. Imagine what EBH could have done with a full leadout train or maybe just a better position to begin with...

Versus' portrayal of Contador as a stupid, inexperienced rider really got on my nerves last year. He won in spite of his team!

8 minutes of him? I'd love to see that, but it's highly unlikely.

eddy boss doing a great job, he could be a contender for overall green if he climbs well and keeps up there at the sprint finishes

Sorry, Didn't read the rest of the thread, but does anyone know if Lance's was a gold pocket watch? did he also get him a rocking chair? maybe some depends?

That would have been too direct for Alberto. He would have likely gotten him a complimentary membership to AARP.

It were the same type of watches that were giving to the rest of the teammates at the end of the tour of last year. LA and Bruyneel had yet to receive these. Also Contie did not speak with LA at all, only with Bruyneel

He could have given them to them at Criterium Internationale. Or mailed them. He waited until now.
