I see wind speeds at 20 km/h and gusts at nearly twice that. The roads along the ridges are more exposed than I first thought they'd be, and the direction is excellent. So not strong enough to guarantee more than a nervous peloton, but strong enough for more to be possible.

With the updated forecast this morning, this spot seems to get the strongest crosswinds today, and the road is excellent for it: https://www.google.com/maps/@46.8686208,4.7524742,3a,75y,9.77h,89.39t/data=!3m7!1e1!3m5!1s7VWq2DZ2u95qK5UZLeXoCA!2e0!6shttps://streetviewpixels-pa.googleapis.com/v1/thumbnail?panoid=7VWq2DZ2u95qK5UZLeXoCA&cb_client=maps_sv.share&w=900&h=600&yaw=9.770497502637454&pitch=0.6069068257679362&thumbfov=90!7i16384!8i8192?coh=205410&entry=ttu

So my best guess is that it splits in the section between 100 km to go and 90 km to go.

There's also a short section in the right direction and on exposed roads with maybe strong enough winds between 15 km to go and 12 km to go.

Fantastic. Now I am even more on the bandwagon hype for echelons today without doing any research. Bring me the action. Jumbo have a brilliant team for echelons they can do some damage here also Ineos always think their
moder theresa of echelon ridding so they might try something aswell.

I remember last year's Independence day. Didn't Joe Biden fly over @Potomac's house.
Well, he did fly over the other day.

edit: I just looked at the public schedule and he is NOT flying over me today. It's when the President goes between the White House and Camp David that we get a fly over. So it happens fairly often, but I only notice if I'm outside at the time. Checking his schedule for last year he did fly over on the 4th , but I don't ever remember specific days.

Have you considered he might be traveling in an de facto alien spacecraft? Those are known to cause loss of memory.
