Andrew Talansky,Nieve and Quintana ... my bets for todays attack:)

I think Talansky will wait till first ITT.For Garmin the logical option today is Dan Martin.

Do you really think those guys have a choice in the matter?

OGE should pull off and let Sky take control. Thomas is already up there, so let him start the pulling for Sky.

There is not enough sky discussion already in your opinion? All your posts are about sky?

Based on how they've ridden this week, i would definitely swap Lopez and EBH. Maybe Lopez has been conserving energy, but he's not looked very strong.

The breakaways this Tour are a complete joke. It's like no one wants to get in. First guy who tries gets away.

Blergh.

Lets wait till after the rest day to judge the breakaways. Generally the first week (and first real climb) don't lead to many successful breakaways, I reckon we'll see far more serious attempts next week.

Edit: And of course tomorrow when GC contenders won't care about the stage.

Looking forward to Richie Porte and Cadel having a good climb :)

I'm curious about Cadel myself. He was pretty good in the Giro if it was indeed more of a prep race than a true focus. However even in that case you'd think the effort of the Giro took something out of him.

Still, I do hope he puts in a better performance than last year, it only adds to the flavour of the race.

I agree, next week will see breaks full of quality as teams get desperate for a result.

Well, yes, but the lack of effort to get into the first week breaks already speaks volumes. Being in the break in the first weak comes with additional prizes, like a chance at the KOM jersey or whatever. And then there's the TV time. Those things used to be enough.
