I just hope you understand, that this is not the Giro. The downhill was almost totally straight, not technical where people can create a gap.
I didn't say he would've attacked on this descent, just that he would've attacked at one point when Froome was isolated for 160 km...

Do you think he is happy with this stage:confused:
I think he is not,his team didnt do a good job, only Froome did...and Porte is out of GC,so if Froome falls or mechanical Sky havent got anyone to grab victory...definitely not a good stage for Sky,it could be worse but still..

They at least should work for the stage. They are an embarrassment of a team!!!

Wow, this promised so much, but delivered so little in the end. Hugely disappointed in the lack of cojones by the riders. It's like they want Froomestrong to win the Tour

Very good racing sense from Martin and Fuglsang, taking advantage just at the right moment when the GC contenders were playing Cat and Mouse

What a huge disappointment this stage has been. Movistar working the whole day for what? Team classification? Meh.

The hell was this, with such a good start and set up to attack froome nothing happens. Froome will open the gap more in the time trial. Please it cant be that movi did this just to get 2nd place in the GC.

I guess the best thing about today is Voeckler not carrying on in front of the crowd at the end of a 50km solo.

It's not that unusual for this type of stage and I would say it's had more than it's fair share of excitement. Usually on a downhill finish of a mountain stage a group of top contenders finish together. Not every stage can be a mountain top finish, it is a 3 week race!

If Froome hadn't gone with Valverde he'd have made it to the group thanks to Rogers, Roche and Kreuziger anyway as Valverde dropped the Saxo guys.

The real problem here was that nobody had the cojones to go on Azet, and when they got to Ancizan they were happy to sit behind Plaza until he burst, but he was running on empty for a while before that which meant that while Froome could get into a rhythm and have a bit of recuperation before Quintana commenced hostilities.

As it was, this stage promised much, but hasn't delivered enough.

The way Froome is ridding it will take more than cojones to drop him, and without the legs on Saxo and not enough miles in Froome's, I don't see what posters are expecting from Saxo today? Recovery and growing form is the card at play with Sky defending and weakening in the week ahead.

Moviestar, they have their own race plan whatever that is.

I understand that they worked in the beginning in order to eliminate Porte.

But it was clear Porte was cooked in the last 50 km though. And why can't Kreuziger attack?
