Horner should have been on that list, and Nibali off.

I voted for Basso, though Samu may be a more solid pick as Basso has looked terrible all year. I'm thinking he's aware that there are no real climbs for 12 stages and after that AS and AC will attack each other and he'll wait and watch. Then again, everyone else will be doing that too. Mostly watching them ride ahead into the distance.

Let my heart rule my head.

Wiggo is the same odds as Cuddles

That must be the bookies wanting to avoid an each-way caning just in case he does manage it, rather than a true reflection of his chances..

I would imagine TSF got those odds from a British website

Mr Radioshack Super Leach? surely someone thinks his Suisse was a good indication*

*:p

A Radioshack rider in the top 5 seems pretty likely, seeing as they have 3 riders plus who you'd put in the top 10. When predicting a finishing order, though, I never put in multiple riders from one (dodgy) team, just because.

You must admit on paper they're good. Two major stage races this year plus various podiums etc, plus 3 historical Tour podiums.

Garmiin should have their annual surprise. I thought VDV this year but Tommy D was better in Suisse. Either of them in the top 5 shouldn't be more of a shock than Wiggins. By now though, I have a very busy top 5.

Cunego may be a bit too exciting to go really high in the GC.

I find Cadel to be overrated. It's been a long time since he impressed me against the best climbers in the real mountains. His time trial ain't anything to brag about anymore either. He's no longer the cyclist he was in 2007/2008.

Apart from his Tt not a lot has changed, maybe he has improved since then I'n some areas or at least a tad smarter. The problem is the level of competition I'n the mountains IMO is far better now .

Thats fun. Considering Cuddles has never been impressive against true specialists in the mytical climbs.

voted for Evans, but would have voted for Horner. hopefully he's done pretending he can eat whatever he wants and still be a GC contender.

one thing i wonder about is his time-trial capabilities. every second will count this year.

I hav to agree with bruyneel when talkin to the belgian media when he said VDB was a good bet for a podium plus contador even went as far as to say he could even be a dark horse for the overall victory. In the dauphine he showed a more aggressive streak than usual when attacking early on a mountain top finish on the very first stage. His form is peaking at the right time after doing good domestique work for gilbert early on in the season. With regards to evans i thought in the dauphine when the attacks picked up in the mountains himself and wiggins struggled to stay the pace. I even took up good odds of 8/1 on VDB to win without contador and schleck.

what i like about vdb2 is that during the ardennes he puts all his personal ambitions aside and works his @ss off for gilbert. seems to be a good team player. shame he only rides 5 weeks a year(ardennes+dauphine+tour) and that is enough to destroy any chance he has to become one of my favourite riders :p

I voted other because I think it is going to be Andy or someone else. Andy will be so demoralized at the a$$ whipping he is going to take from Alberto he is going to have to ride the final ITT like there is no tomorrow. And we all know he can't TT to save his life. Andy may not even podium. In which case I'll take Evans 2nd and Basso 3rd.

If Basso is really back to feeling 100% then I think he will be right up there. In my heart that is who I would like to see. :)
Otherwise, I would choose Evans. He really wants this for his palmares and will turn himself inside out.

although, Sanchez...or VDB...could def happen

If Basso has his shape of last year's Giro he could make the podium. I just wonder how much his fall has disturbed his preparation.
