Haven’t seen the stages here but is Hirschi riding Lombardia? With this form he’s got a chance maybe, although it’s a more a climbers route this year.

This race is pretty exciting, top 3 withing 3 seconds of each other and tomorrow is a very up and down stage. Should make for good racing. Apart from the rain, the scenery in Luxembourg has been very nice.

Too bad for Søren Kragh that UAE decided to let the bonus seconds fly up the road, otherwise he would have won the stage (he probably should have seen that coming, though, and gone with the attackers).

I don't think he could have gone with Johannessen if he had tried. He seemed to be on the limit when Madouas and Bonnamour went for it.

I thought so, too, but then he was able to attack right away at the top. I've seen him appear to fake it before this season, but I obviously don't know.

Good stage win for Johanessen.

Hirschi is becoming a specialist on these second tier one day and stage races. It may not be what was expected of him a few years ago but he manages to give UAE lots of wins and UCI points.

Johannessen with another win on a stage with a short sharp climb only a couple of kilometers before the finish line. That's his thing apparently.
