Sagan could do with a 2nd place tomorrow

Or 3rd. And since he's got two stage wins I'm guessing even winning the bonus sprint would suffice.

Martin better ride the Tour next year!!

Yes.

I mean Garmin were well and truly vindicated in their decision to leave him behind by their Tour results. He just didn't fit into their priorities. But it's just bizarre that a rider that good has never been in the Tour.

Come to think of it, is he the best currently active climber never to have been in the Tour?

watching it on Eurosport, as soon as they showed the replay, I was saying to the tv that I couldn't see Sagan in the bunch, and if he wasn't, then he was second. Looks like I was right! And Cummings' strong perofrmance today puts him 9th overall - enough to be GBR's 8th man to score a point in the WT if he stays there (or in the top 10)! He'll be hoping that Marcato or Sagan win tomorrow so that no-one behind him gets bonus secs. Marcato or Sagan could win this tomorrow with bonus seconds!

Very nice jump by Poels there, unfortunately countered by Martin, who is the deserved winner of this stage.

Am I wrong in thinking that if Poels had allowed his teammate Marcato to pass him, Marcato would have been in the lead?

Appreciate the (un)official live-feed ticker you all provided! Great way to spend my first 2 hours at work this morning. Thanks all!

Yes. :p

Marcato is 3 seconds off and that would have been only 2 seconds.

Oh wow... that could very well be true indeed.

I didn't consider that when I was watching it. It was exciting! Really hoped Poels would win, but Martin certainly deserved it today. Very hard day on in Poland that's for sure.
Great racing.

He would have been 6-4=2 seconds better so yes, you're wrong.

The pressure's on Haussler tomorrow to try to ensure Martin wins, and hope Kittel and at least one more sprinter can keep Sagan off the podium.

Should be a great finish!

Also, what's with Stage 6's and rain in the Tour of Poland? It rained when TGBM won on Stage 6 last year!

So Sagan wins the GC if he wins an intermediate sprint or finishes top 3 in tomorrow's stage.

Marcato wins the GC if he finishes top 3 in tomorrow's stage.

Martin wins the GC if neither of the above happens.

If I had to bet money on it, I'd put it on Sagan.

But VCD needs every WT point they can get.

So if Poels scores good too, it's better. They have now 3rd and 4th, instead of 2nd and 8th..

Bloody hell.. I'm so hoping for Vacans wins. They are fighting so hard for it and ofcourse the fact that I'm dutch makes me want them to win.

Very impressive ride by Marcato today! He was dropped on the penultimate climb and half way between that and the last climb you could see him riding alone between the cars.

Wow. Sagan must've completely cracked in the last 200 m. Tomorrow will be interesting. Dan Martin to lead out Haussler?

And poor Nordhaug sacrificed himself again so Cav could have an extra leadout monkey in Copenhagen. They better be paying him well, it's tough being a non-Brit on Team Sky.
