He is also a second week crasher. I'm no going to get my hopes up until he cross the stage 20 finishLanda aswell, and he's actually a third-week-riser

Well, he might crash in week two but only abandon later. Why not stage 15 if he is a second week crasher?
True, but there is the Quick-Step effect, where every rider somehow turns in their best possible incarnation. He is also a second week crasher. I'm no going to get my hopes up until he cross the stage 20 finish
Yes, like Knox, Masnada, Lampaert, and basically everyone else except Evenepoel, the past few years.True, but there is the Quick-Step effect, where every rider somehow turns in their best possible incarnation.
It's notable that all the most likely candidate mentioned in early 2021 are still the biggest possibilities

Pellizzari will do it on Sunday so we won‘t have to ask ourselves these questionsIs Mexico's flag similar enough to Italy's for del Toro to be accepted?
Mas seems very unlikely, but I agree with the rest of the post. If Vingegaard shows any weakness Pellizzari might well be the one taking advantage from it.Things look a lot different compared to when the thread was created, when I felt it was unlikely that any then-pro would snap the streak. Seixas is obviously the most obvious shout, but Pellizzari sneaking an alienless Giro or Mas/Ayuso doing likewise at the Vuelta are all at least somewhat plausible contenders for getting there first. Heck, if Vingegaard were to crash out of the Giro it could outright happen next month.
