Kittel, Degenkolb, Matthews, Feillu can beat a Liquigas train, plus they still haven't caught the 2 men out front.

There are other teams to chase it down. Liquigas is pretty much done by chasing all the day. There will be no Liquigas train. Just Sagan on his own. He will finish in top5, but I'm not sure if he's capable of top3.

Haussler was in the middle of the road, untill he saw Sagan coming on his right, and Haussler steered in that direction. There was a big gap before that.

That's about the size of the gap Sagan tried to go through.

The peleton's still a minute behind Oliviera and Marczynski (spelling?? :D) with only one lap to go!

Reasonable point on Eurosport that while it would be preferable for Liquigas to have all three podium spots in play, it wouldn't be the end of the world if the bunch sprint was for third and some of the sprinters were less motivated.

There's also a chance that Sagan could attack a bit earlier.

This isn't over yet.

I am guessing that a bigger danger for Martin is a potential 2 second split in the peloton even if the finish is not tricky at all.

I was thinking the same thing myself. And it would only need to be a one second gap, as Sagan will win on placings if they tie. And Garmin is better served trying to win the stage/occupy a top 3 finish with Haussler rather than try and keep Martin up in the top few riders. Martin needs to be vigilant.

I'd like to see Sagan finish in the top 3, but after his effort at the intermediate sprint, his long shot just got longer.

Thought about that, but now with the break caught Sagan's probably going to have to attack or go for a looooong sprint, but I doubt he's got enough energy to do either of those.

EDIT: Marczynski still hanging around.

nice. It's right, if there is only one single car entering the curve...
If there are two (or more) side by side, that one in inner line is always right (if collision happen)

Will VCD have Feillu go for the sprint or are they still holding out some silly hope that Marcato can win?

Nice diagram, Rich. Says it all.
All this debate about whether Haussler should be dq'd, but who was 4th over the line? Dan Martin! So, it's still 2 seconds which ever way you cut it.:D

Almost forgot about that! DEBATE. OVER.
