Viviani really had no sprint left in him at the end...excellent job by Swift it almost looked like a done deal between that Rabo guy and Viviani

lol swift wins a MTF? :p

It was a nice stage, and I like the Tour de Pologne, but is it really needed to classify that false flat as a 2nd cat climb?

That was a crazy sprint by Swift. Really long in the wind!

Really weird that he wasn't selected for the Olympics. He'd be a good plan B if Cavendish is dropped.

An interesting race was threatening to break out with Bakelandts and the quartet, but they ran out of climb to continue the show after that group was taken back. A bit like the last stage of the Tour de Suisse really.

Well.... they selected a squad with 4 Tour stage winners this year and British Champ. There's no plan B for Britain though indeed. All for CAv.

Swift was brilliant today. Had to kick twice to win it. Have to say I was hoping for something else than a bunch sprint today though.

Those 4 stage winners won't be of any use if Cavendish is dropped early. Considering the bad form he has shown the last couple of days, that looks like a likely scenario.

Bad form? He's been working like a dog for Brad for most of the last 2 weeks.

That said, given Swift's form and the hills on the Olympic course, Swifty would be a very good plan B. Difficult to have 2 plans in a 5 man team, mind. I'd imagine Sky have Switft earmarked for La Vuelta. A decent bet for the green jersey there, I reckon.

Lol, not really. Porte and Rogers have been working like a dog. ;)

Anyway, this is the Tour of Poland, not the Olympic road race... Ben Swift is not a good one day racer and most likely never will be.
