I'll go with traditional sprint, some climbers would really have to attack, drill it to the line and work together. It's closer to 30 than 25km from the top to the line.

the field here is high in climbers. the stage is harder than yesterday and other teams will go for it even more I'm sure of to try and hurt wiggins

the finish is harder, but not the stage itself. Yesterday the runin to the finish offered way more opportunities to attack and in contrary to yesterday the weather will be fine today. I think if Matthews can get over the last big climb and Rabobank has the will to keep it together instead of trying to attack with every rider they've got he has a shot to win it in the uphill sprint.

but he won't get over that climb. I think he's not in good shape and they will attack on that climb and coming back will be hard to organise. davis has a ****ty team and matthews teammates will be in front. meersman teams sucks too

Nope, they know wiggins isn't vulnerable from 30km out, especially with the team he has. So noone will attack. The pace up and over won't be fast enough. Cavendish to win as Sky try to prove they can take yellow and green.

Indeed, Wiggins will pull them back by himself if he has to. This is not the stage to attack him, the penultimate stage with the cat 1 climb might be.

I dont see it, Cav has been dropped whenever the road has gone uphill recently. He is here to get some race miles in before the Giro.

I'd like to see Sky set a mega tempo on the climb to melt off any sprinters, then leave Wiggins to fend for himself in the final, and maybe take out another win and bonus seconds. It's risky, but I'd like to see them try, as it would make the last 25km interesting. Essentially, I hope they race, rather than sit in for a sprint!

that's what they should do as the final km suits wiggins very well

he made it over the "big" climb yesterday in the first group, he cracked at the small climb with ~13k to go, so it may be possible

I agree to you regarding Meersman and Davis. Apart from Allan Davis not winning much anyway, no matter what circumstances

meersman? the guy that didn't finish in the first group of 60 yesterday?
To be fair, he lost only 11 seconds. The rest of Lotto-Belisol did incredibly bad, losing over 7 minutes. That's quite the embarrassing performance.

westra abandons........

...again

Lagutin must have returned to fake him another abandon. ^^

On a serious note, if he really did abandon, I'm glad to hear. I rather see him take some rest than pushing for this TdR.
