The UCI made a secret rule that no one week race can have a good parcours. If they happen to make a good one, the best stages have to cancelled or shortened. Only the UCI and race organisers know, so now i have to hide, as they'll be after me:rolleyes::D

Meh, the last climb has some steep bits. Expect 15-35 man sprint. Something like the Cauberg but then after the climb

It's not just that the final climb is more than a bit meh, it looks like the long run in is pretty much Dullsville.
I'm keeping my expectations rock bottom.
That way I shouldn't be disappointed by Romandie.......................again.

the stage ends more or less just at the foot of the Mittelbergpass, which could have offered a way better finish to this stage...

This used to be a much better race. In a country of mountains they can't find some demanding finishes ? Tour de Suisse is a much better race than this.

Hard to say really. Fuglsang doesn't seem that worried

Scarponi looked bad in Trentino and a couple of days later he's top 10 in LBL

True, but just look at where Fuglsang finished in yesterday's joke of a stage. Scarponi would have finished with the main pack for sure.

at least fuglsang has some time, the mountains in this giro come pretty late.

Yeah but his form looks to be pretty poor. I just don't see how he is going to be Radioshack's leader after the first mountain stage. There is going to be someone on that team that finish's much higher. (Unless they are doing a massive sandbag stunt)

Is kloden riding? if he is he always should have been the leader.

I don't get why people think Jakob is supposed to be so good(on the road). Did he ever win anything outside of Denmark? I think Frank should lead at the Giro and Jakob should be a top domestique until he actually deserves leadership in a GT.

Find it hard to see how Jakob should have been able to find a good form while has has been injuried. He is still riding with a broken bone mind you.

Hardly RNT's fault that he crashed and broke his hand...

The thing is, I think he is wasting some of his better years trying to be a GT contender. He's never going to podium in a GT, he should concentrate on other goals. He is a talented cyclist, just not a GT rider.

Today's break

Brammeier (OPQ), Smukulis (Kat), Howard (GrE) (best placed @ 3:43), Van der Sande (Lot), Lund (Sax)

have over 5 mins

Might have a squeak today with the two big stages to come. Who's going to chase ? Movistar maybe

The Phantom is lurking in the shadows, awaiting the ITT..........as always.
