Not compared to what he has shown so far in TTs in the Rabo jersey. All Rabos were absolutely terrible, did they decide to add extra weight to their bikes?

Props to Wiggo, again. And Talansky, incredible. Made Kelderman look like a Rabobank rider.
LOL. Rabo did the impossible and have a rider in the top ten overall. :D

a DS hyping thier rider, no?
No way talansky is a serious contendor at the tour this year. Your ability to jump at conclusions from single races is something else

Aaaah no Ive been hyping him for a while.
And I wasnt reffering to Vaughters comments from this race but rather to his comments in February or so when asked who from his team will be a suprise package in tour, he cant be biased within his own team can he?

Huge difference between Evans (albeit been sick, so it's not that representative of his real form now) and Wiggins.

Wiggins peaking too soon this year? Or not a problem if he doesn't over-race (pretty selective in his choice of races so far)? Anyone?

Stunning Talansky. Wow.

Well yes, but that's because Lulu has been mostly terrible at Rabo. I can see him getting a bit too comfortable in this stage hunter role and never bothering to do much else. And it's a shame.

Stunning Talansky. Wow.

I don't think Wiggins looked anyway near at his peak this race.

Winning a time trial now gives 100 World Tour points. Pathetic. Why does every single route needs to suck? I'm not asking for mountains, decisive hills in the final would be great as well!

I know that, and I questioned and said it unlikely when he said it back in February, and Talansky being talented is no news, those of us who followed him in his espoirs days new then already he was going to be a massively talented rider and already last year he was producing real quality ITT performaces rather then climbing ones (I always said he was gonna bigger then TJVG) but this course is no indication of the tour lol, and he is not gonna be challenging the head of state at the TDF at this point of his career anyway, despite what your ignorance leads you to believe.

The guy is 70+ kilos, I don't see too many of those in the top-10 today.

Absolutely. With Contador out and all the TT kilometers. Wiggo and Evans are in my book the favourites. He just need to avoid a weak day in the mountains. He will take minutes on the TT stages.

It really depends on how the mountain stages are ridden. If they ride a moderate pace until the ultimate climb, he'll win going away. Evans was my favorite, but based on how he's been riding this year, I'm doubtful of him repeating.

Talansky had some risers on the TT Bar pads as did Wiggins. Sanchez none. You have to adjust your position up for this much climbing. It gives you more control and better ability to climb with them. Wiggins credits team...

For once, we are in total agreement.
Rubbish Romandie.
Pathetic parcours.
Totally unbalanced, designed for uber conservative racing.
(I use the term "racing", in it's loosest sense.)

Talansky had a full ITT bike.
So i think it didn't really matter what bike you had. Most of all in such ITT form counts.

Talansky showed little recovery ability last year though. In the last days of the Vuelta he could barely follow the peloton. It's nice if in the last week of the Tour you can still ride a bit ;)

Then again, this is an absolutely incredible performance, so whatever they've done to him over the winter, it has worked.

Exciting time trial again though. They've been more exciting than the mountain stages so far this year. I say more time trials, less mountains.

Ok, he, who's supposed to be a time-trialist who can climb and who has been top 10 in Tour and Vuelta, did great today. Go Luisle.
