I know, i just figured Sky might control the climb and try to drag Cav up for the win, you can see from the size of the peloton the pressure wasn't really on.

Plus it doesn't help having a mechanical just at the start of that cat 2 climb either.

Exactly why I said it was over before it began, Sky didn't even have to consider how to ride when that happened.

09 was the best cav we have ever seen, he almost looked like a proper rider that could get over a speed bump with the peloton. :eek:

the race was crappy on the mountains, the flat stages were the usual boredom fest and not more boring then they are every year

I watched most of the stages, the race was so unaggressive. Usually an attacker would have won that.

The gap has gone up to over 30 seconds. Does Sky think that they are trying to bring back Boonen again and it just isn't possible?
