Remember he's expected to be top 5 in this year's Giro.

at this rate they will have to make a last minute call to machado for the giro and pray for the best as fugslang has show nothing so far this season

Fugslang is heavily overrated anyway. Has he ever won anything outside of Denmark?

well in the vuelta for a little bit he almost looked decent, then we realized that it wasn't him looking good but rather most of the big favorites blowing their peak

he was already bad last year :p

tho he seems to be in decent shape here in romandie and will prolly finish top 5 after the itt without showing his face all week, like a proper shacker

?

Machado 2012
-3rd Tour down Under
-5th Trofeo Deia
-6th Volta ao Algarve
-5th Volta Castilla y Leon

Almost everywhere he started he was good. My 3rd best score in my CQ team (and he was only 6th draft or something so it wasn't even expected). He already scored 3/4th of his CQ points of 2011...

Maybe you say he sucks because he didn't ride any of the big races so far this year. After all the only WT race he started except Tour down Under was Catalunya (and he gave up there).
In all other races but Catalunya top 10 GC ...

so define 'sucks this year?'

sucking definition from ryo's perspective:

is not Colombian.

thus ryo is actually correct in his statement.

it's not exactly that he sucks D_T, for me at least i expected him to step up after his fantastic 2010 season, but he is still getting the same type of results on the same type of second tier races

when i looked at machado in 2010 i thought "this guy will be contending for the win in races like PN next year", but so far. . .. nothing :( ofc being on the shack covered by 50 year old's doesn't help either, but still . . .

maybe ryo thinks the same?

Well this might be his level. But that doesn't mean he sucks.
Sucking is finishing 65th in every race you start. For me he has been very valuable :)
